Is he a scientist or
magician? Is he a magician or a comedian? Whatever
he is, David Tower is one of the Midwest’s hottest talents
and one of the country's most creative minds in the world of magic
and sleight of hand. If you ask him which he is, he is not
even sure himself because science, magic and performing have always
been such a basic part of his life. But one thing is for
sure, when he makes items appear from his bare hands, restores a rope
cut by a volunteer or goes into his “Street
Hustler” character you know you are witnessing a master and
true showman. Most of all, the audience loves
him! “Mr. Tower’s show is fun,
mysterious & sometimes just a little wacky.”
says his booking agent Rita Evans, “He has an
exciting show that incorporates mysteries, characters and
audience participation”.
David Tower, a thirty-year veteran of magic, is regarded as one of the most creative minds in science education as well as in the realm of magic today. David Tower’s show incorporates meaningful stories, educational themes, and hilarious illusions! During his show Mr. Tower playfully teases with the audience, helps volunteers become magicians, and demonstrates mysteries that he has gathered from around the world. David Tower has been doing magic ever since he was nine years old. Because his father was in the military he grew up traveling around the United States and Europe. Due to his extreme shyness, David spent most of his spare time in his bedroom either practicing magic or building contraptions. When he entered the workforce he started out as a machinist. Later he went to work for a large scientific educational products manufacturer. He quickly rose to the top of the company as an inventor, developer and producer of unique scientific educational equipment. David is now known nation-wide for his innovative designs and his products are used to this day in science classes around the globe. But he never could or would let the magic go. Constantly practicing and developing tricks and routines he honed his skills over decades. He spent every spare moment analyzing every facet of the art from the illusions down to theater and story management. As time went on, he pushed himself into situations where he had to overcome his shyness. He gave testimonials in church, presented science demonstrations to companies and began speaking and performing illusions for many organizations. Admittedly he will tell you that overcoming his shyness was probably the toughest thing he has ever had to do. But he knew that he had to because it was preventing him from doing what he says he was born to do. Now David Tower is regarded as one of the most creative minds in magic. He not only develops magic routines for his own shows but has also invented hundreds of magical effects that are used by many other professional magicians. But all this pales in comparison to his performances. David gains almost instant acceptance from the audience with his confident yet humble demeanor. His ability to tease with the audience and volunteers while at the same time making them feel comfortable and at ease is one of his greatest attributes. And Mr. Tower makes sure that the volunteer always gets to be the star. David Tower currently is managed by Castlewood Shows & Entertainment in Lebanon, Missouri.
